Michael R. Pippenger is an associate in our Boulder office. His practice is focused on securities litigation and arbitration. He has represented several large broker-dealers, financial service companies and individual investment advisors in issues ranging from customer disputes and raiding issues, to representation of individual advisors in regulatory proceedings.
Mr. Pippenger was previously employed as a litigation associate with Rothgerber, Johnson & Lyons, LLP in Denver, Colorado where he spent considerable time defending clients in securities litigation/arbitration matters, prosecuting and defending contractual disputes for the banking industry, working with national Real Estate Investment Trusts and representing the interests of insurance guaranty associations in liquidation proceedings.
Mr. Pippenger earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice from Western Michigan University in 1994. After spending a few years working for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., first as a broker and then as a team supervisor, Mr. Pippenger decided to return to school. In 2004, he earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Mr. Pippenger is admitted to practice law in Colorado and before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and the Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Mr. Pippenger is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations.
